Food I’ve Cooked This Week!

I thought I would blog about something different today! Since I’ve been home from university, I’ve been doing a lot of cooking because I really enjoy trying out new meals and making old-time favourites. I planned meals for the week in advance and my Mum got all the ingredients so that we could make them together. These are hardly professional meals but I thought it would be fun to share anyway.

Meal #1: Cottage Pie

I forgot to actually take a photo of this one… what a great start!

Meal #2: Souffle Potatoes (with sausages)

I made these potatoes about 6 years ago and I remember absolutely loving them, so had to make them again! They consist of cheese, egg and spring onions.

Meal #3: Burgers with a cheesy inside (ft. lots of ketchup and a j2o spritz because I’m a child at heart)

This meal was from my childhood cookbook and honestly, I have no shame in still using it now because it’s wonderful.

Meal #4: Macaroni Cauliflower Cheese

I’ve always been a fan of both Macaroni Cheese and Cauliflower Cheese but somehow never thought of actually mixing them together as one dish! I would definitely recommend this – I enjoyed it a lot!

Meal #5: Creamy Herb Chicken (with mash & leeks)

This recipe was ridiculously simple as it pretty much only consisted of milk and herbs alongside the chicken. Who knew milk could make such a great sauce?

Meal #6: Zahtar Spiced Chicken

This meal was actually part of Hello Fresh (a box you can get delivered to your door every week to try new meals), but I thought I would include it because it was such a delicious meal and I like the photo!

Meal #7: Out for Pizza! (ft. the controversial pineapple)

Okay this is kind of cheating but our last meal was going out for dinner to eat pizza, but I feel like we deserved it after all the cooking!

Added bonus: I made Chocolate & Banana Cake!

I’ve never made this kind of cake before but it’s probably the best cake I’ve ever made so I highly recommend trying it!

If you made it this far, thanks for reading about my cooking journey this week! If you’re intrigued by any of the dishes and want to try them out, I’m happy to give anyone the recipe if they wish!
